Abbot William began his journey in religious life in 1978 in the Roman Catholic Church, first briefly as a Franciscan and then as a Cistercian / Benedictine. He joined Christ's Apostolic Catholic Church (CACC), an autocephalous Catholic jurisdiction, in 2012. In 2018, the CACC established the Order of Saint Benedict within its jurisdiction, and in that same year, Pax + Abbey was founded on July 11, the Feast of Saint Benedict. Abbot William was elected the first Abbot of the Abbey, and later that year, was consecrated a Bishop in Christ's Apostolic Catholic Church. Abbot William resides in Massachusetts.
