Br. John Kelmy Rodriquez is an ordained Old Catholic Priest, a devoted Benedictine.
Br. John serves as a Regional Manager Trauma Chaplain for the M.T.A. New York City Transit, the New York State M.T.A. Police Department, and the Bronx Chapter of the National Latino Peace Officer's Association. Additionally, he is a Priest at Christ's Apostolic Catholic Church and a simply professed Benedictine Monk at Pax Abbey. His diverse roles encompass spiritual support, guidance, and service to various organizations and communities.
Br. John is a distinguished news contributor with expertise in Community Policing, Public Policy, Public Health, and Safety matters. He has made valuable contributions to numerous news networks, including CNN, W.P.I.X. 11, FOX 5, N.B.C. 4, 1010 WINS, Telemundo 47, Univision 41, and Channel 7 Eyewitness News, gaining recognition both nationally and internationally.
He has received numerous accolades for exceptional community service, including citations from the New York State Assembly, recognition awards from the New York State Senate for his public service, a humanitarian award for his societal contributions, and a special congressional recognition for his outstanding work in community affairs. Additionally, he has been commended multiple times by the New York City Fire Department for his life-saving efforts.
Br. John is proud to be a member in good standing of the prestigious American Association of Christian Counselors. He debuted his inaugural book, "Axioms of An Urban Priest: An Ongoing Journey of Revelations," in June 2022.
He is currently working on his second book, 'The Episcopal Warlock,' "Witches in the Church."
